Josie likes to have her animals and dolls in bed with her. This was a couple of nights ago...tonight I bet were are approaching 20. CareBears, Rag. Ann, Baby, Dolly, Monkey, Duck, Boots, Bath Dora, Soft Dora, Baby Doll, Sting Ray, Seahorse, Foofa, Little Monkey, plus a bunch of others. Time to go clear out the zoo without waking her.

I guess like most little girls, Josie likes to dress up in Mama or Daddy's clothing. Tonight, it was Daddy's running shoes. She was able to walk a good long bit in them without her feet coming out. She was able to do a pretty elaborate dance too.

For her birthday, Grandma made Josie a "Dora" blanket. The other night, all on her own, Josie got her blanket, mukmuk (milk), and sketch board, arranged herself on the couch, and settled down for somedrawing and a drink.

I made Dora cupcakes for Josie's birthday. Overall, I think they came out pretty good, although a couple of them have a creepy,bug-eyed look. Josie and Jenn thought they are cool so that's all that really matters.

Opening a present

Josie's birthday was Thursday, but we are having her party on Saturday. We did let her open a couple of presents last night, saving the rest for the party. This is her opening a present from Uncle Don...Four cars that Josie absolutely loves. Held them all night. Thank you Uncle Don.

Pumpkins in motion

Josie received to mini pumpkins for pre-Halloween. One from Aunt Ginny and one from Jenn and I. She loves them and calls them "pimkin" or something like that. Trying to get a picture of her with them is nearly impossible as she gets so excited when she has them.

The other night Josie did not want to go to bed. She kept fussing and fussing so I went into her room to check on her. She was standing in middle of her bed holding about 8-10 books in her hands wanting to get out of bed, saying over and over "read, read..." This photo is of her sitting with Jenn, still holding all her little books in her hands.

Look who I found at Walmart

We have come to despise shopping at Walmart here in Mount Dora. All the other shopping in town is incredible. You can't beat any Publix, the Target is great, Kohls, Bealls, do the job. But no matter what, Walmart is always crowded, no cashiers available, just generally hard to get around. I used to like Walmart, but they do need to do some work on the one here for sure. We will continue to go there when the need arises, as there are still some things that they always have the best price on.

But, we did find this beautiful little thing in the baby section.

Jenn let Jose sit in the front seat today as they were getting ready to leave. Josie instantly start saying "vroom, vroom".

Everything Dora

With my parents here, we all watching Dora's Birthday Adventure with Josie on Sunday night. Josie loves Dora whom she calls "Doda" My parents got her a little Dora doll that she can take in the tub with her, but since she got it Sunday afternoon, it has not left her side. Josie can be busy doing anything, but it Doda comes on, the world stands still.

Sweaty girl at the zoo

This is having lunch at the zoo. We went to the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa with my parents and it was extremely well done for kids. This is one of the few shots I got with my phone camera as she would not stand still enough for the delay. Josie walked about 3 of the 4 hours we were there. Such a big girl.
